Monstera minima or dwarf Monstera pertusa Plant is actually an Aeroid species. It is also called as monsteria. Aeroid are semi epiphytic plant which grow in humid environment and throw aerial roots. This plant originates basically from Mexican rainforests specially from Panama. Monstera is called cheese plant because it has swiss cheese like holes on its leaves. Monstera plant in initial stage do not show fenestration. It means the holes in plant appears once plant is mature at least 2 year old. Have you ever wondered why monstera leaves have holes? This is due to special adaptation on plant if it will not have holes strong winds and hurricanes which is common in Panama region will knock this plant down from its carrier. So plant came up with unique technique to produce holes in its giant leaves so that air can flow without any problem. Isn’t it amazing?

Sun: Loves bright indirect sun perfect for indoor and outdoor both environment. Soil: Use well-draining aerated soil. We generally use perlite, cocochunk, Sand , cowdung manure and cocopeat mix. Fertilizer: Use any balanced NPK fertilizer or simply add cow dung manure after every 2 month. You can also add neem khali. Watering: Water when soil feels little dry , its a humidity loving plant. But will surely die if overwatered. Keep in mind dried out plants can be saved but rotten plants will surely die. Gardening Level: Beginner
Processing Time: We take 1 day to make plant ready for journey. Before packing we give them fertilizer and fungicide for best results.
