The Baby Sun Rose or Dew Plant or Aptenia cordifolia is a small species of hanging succulent plant that is native to  Africa.  It is known in some places as dew or frost, also it is one of easiest succulent to care for, but because its appearance is not very showy and its growth is rather messy, it is not a highly sought after plant. This means that nurseries do not usually sell them, although it is very easy to get since many people grow it. It is a small, rosette-forming plant that produces small, yellow flowers. It is a popular plant for indoor cultivation because of its low maintenance requirements.

To care for a Baby Sun Rose plant indoors, follow these tips:

  • Place the plant in a location that receives bright, indirect sunlight.
  • Keep the soil consistently moist, but not waterlogged. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again.
  • Provide well-draining soil, a cactus mix or sandy soil is ideal.
  • Keep the temperature between 60-80°F (15-27°C)
  • fertilize the plant with a balanced fertilizer during the growing season
  • Avoid over watering and low light as it can cause the leaves to fall off.

Fertilizer   :   Fertilize after each 3 month with cow dung manure or any balanced NPK fertilizer.
Repotting  :   This plant love to grow root bound so repot once in 2 year only.
