Calathea ornata, commonly known as the Pinstripe Plant or Prayer Plant, is a captivating tropical houseplant renowned for its visually stunning foliage. Typically reaching a moderate size, Calathea ornata thrives in bright, indirect light and requires consistently moist but not waterlogged soil. Its preference for high humidity makes it well-suited for environments with increased moisture levels. With a unique behavior, the leaves of the Prayer Plant fold in the evening, resembling hands in prayer, and open again in the morning. Careful attention to factors like temperature, soil type, and regular misting helps maintain the health and vibrancy of this striking indoor plant.Here are some tips on how to care for a Calathea ornata:

1. Light: Place your Calathea ornata in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can lead to leaf burn. It can tolerate lower light conditions, but its color and pattern may not be as vibrant.

2. Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water when the top inch of the soil feels dry. Use room-temperature water to avoid shocking the plant. Ensure proper drainage to prevent root rot.

3. Humidity: Maintain high humidity levels. Mist the leaves regularly or place a humidifier nearby. Grouping plants together can also create a more humid microclimate.

4. Temperature: Keep the room temperature between  (18-29°C). Protect the plant from drafts and sudden temperature fluctuations, as it prefers stable conditions.
