Mammillaria bombycina, Majestic Rare Cactus
Mammillaria bombycina is a rare cactus species that is native to the Mexican state of San Luis Potosi. It is commonly referred to as the "Silk Pincushion" cactus or the "Majestic" cactus due to its striking appearance.
The plant typically grows in clusters and can reach a height of up to 10 centimeters (4 inches) and a diameter of 12 centimeters (5 inches). The stem of the cactus is covered in dense white hairs, which give it a silky appearance and protect it from the harsh desert sun.
Mammillaria bombycina blooms in the summer, producing small, bright pink flowers that are around 1.5 centimeters (0.6 inches) in diameter. These flowers are followed by small, red fruits that contain tiny black seeds.
Due to its rarity and unique appearance, Mammillaria bombycina is highly sought after by collectors of cacti and succulents. However, as with all rare species, it is important to ensure that any plants obtained are obtained through legal and ethical means, such as from reputable nurseries or botanical gardens.
Plant Size: 1.5 Inch To 3 Inch Diameter.
Water: Water once in a week if its winter or rainy season. In summer water thrice a week.
