Care Tips

1. Light 

- Place it in bright, indirect light, avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.  

- If growing indoors, a spot near an east or north-facing window is ideal.  

2. Watering 

- Water when the top 2-3 inches of soil feel dry. Overwatering can cause root rot, so ensure the soil is slightly moist but not soggy.  

3. Humidity 

- Large leaves require high humidity to stay lush and healthy. Aim for at least 60% humidity.  

- Use a pebble tray or a humidifier if the air is dry, especially in winter.  

4. Soil 

- Use a well-draining, loose, and rich soil mix. A blend of orchid bark, peat, and perlite mimics its natural epiphytic conditions.  

5. Feeding 

- Feed monthly with a balanced liquid fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce feeding in winter.  

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

- Dust the large leaves gently with a damp cloth to keep them clean and able to photosynthesize effectively.  

- Check for pests like spider mites or aphids regularly, especially on the undersides of leaves.  

7. Pot Size and Repotting

- Use a wide pot to support the plant's rosette growth. Repot every 2-3 years or when the roots outgrow the container.
